We have created an online resource guide specific to seniors for older adults, caregivers, families, and professionals. The project is a proud partner of the Healthy Communities Partnership of Southwest Indiana, funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.\u00a0 The counties included in the resource guide are Dubois, Gibson, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick. Once clicked, a new page will load and this is where you will select who you are searching the guide for, \u201cyourself, family\/friend, or patient\/client.\u201d After decided which option best fits you, click the green button. Please keep in mind that whichever one of the three you choose does not change the results: it just allows our website team to know who is searching for resources. For the purpose of this example, we will click \u201cYourself.\u201d This selection will provide us with a following option, \u201cUnder 60,\u201d or \u201c60 and Over.\u201d For this example, we will select \u201cUnder 60.\u201d Next, you will either select a category that fits your needs AND\/OR select a location in which you are looking for services. At this point we will select a location and a category from the drop down boxes. Let\u2019s go ahead and select Vanderburgh County as our location and select Volunteer Opportunities for our service. Next you will need to click the green button that says, \u201cGet Results.\u201d A new screen will appear with a list of Volunteer Opportunities in Vanderburgh County. Volunteer Opportunities are great for people of all ages. Looking for somewhere to volunteer after retirement or have a desire to give back to your community? Find a Volunteer Opportunity near you. \u00a0As you can see from this list there are quite a few Volunteer Opportunities from which you can choose. I am a USI student looking for volunteer opportunities, so I will click the University of Southern Indiana option. A page will load with contact information, what their organization does, any eligibility requirements, areas they serve, and much more!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Let\u2019s Try Again:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the first page you will see a highlighted green box that says \u2018Get Started\u2019, go ahead and click that button. Next you will need to click the green button that says, \u201cGet Results.\u201d A new screen will appear with the list of Assisted Living and Independent Living agencies in Dubois and Perry Counties. For this example, I chose Northwood Retirement Community because this facility offers Assisted Living and Independent Living to the Dubois County area.
